Yup. And just like that…. The 2012 Summer Olympics will be coming to a close.
I just wonder, how many of you out there, like me, have ever fantasized at every Olympics about being there, representing your country, winning a medal for your country or just walking in together with your country at the opening ceremony.
I do that every 4 years. Really I do. And every 4 years, I devise a plan to be at the next Olympics. Obviously, that has never happened. That has not stopped me from trying and thinking of the next best way to get to the next Summer Olympics. The plan for Rio 2012 is underway……. really… it is….
Anyway, I was just watching the finals of the track and field relays and it really brought back memories of when I used to be a 4x400m and 4x100m relay runner. I think my wife is starting to remember all my past races and the rules for relay running and my 2 cents worth of how they should have passed the baton faster, they should have run faster, they should…. well, you get the idea…
Well, the knees and the body ain’t like it used to be but I sure have the memories to last me a lifetime
